How pristine is the water Like a mirror spread across the land Edged with the earthy tonings Of the warm golden sand A cormorant is perched on a rock Spreading his wings out to dry Looking so much like a statue Before he takes to the brilliant blue sky The water is too cold to swim in Just a stroll along the bay What a wonderful place to visit On such a glorious Autumn day I come here so very often To absorb this tranquil sight How much inspiration it gives me As I take my pen and begin to write As I gaze out towards the horizon I see many speckled shapes of white These fishing boats will soon return With a seafood smorgasboard tonight Tonight the sun once again will settle On this beautiful part of the world As the night covers like a blanket And the last of the gulls cries can be heard Suetang |
