Softly

How many times
  has my kiss
   lingered softly
      upon your lips?

I dare not
  count them
   one by one
    lest I spoil
     the pleasure
      as I miss
       each one.

That's it James! Go with the moment!  This was so sweet in its brevity!

Very few lines and words James but delightfully romantic!! Lot's of room for imagination to fill in here!

               " I dare not
                  count them
                   one by one
                    lest I spoil
                     the pleasure
                      as I miss
                       each one."
I like the sound my perspective gives me for this verse!

James, you created a beautiful mood with this short poem. Few words, many thoughts. I like it a lot.

A wonderfully frozen moment in time, in the style of the infamous scene from "The Matrix" of Trinity hovering as the camera dollys around her (but of course much more tender!).
