Not What You Think

you
don’t know
me at all
as if
you could
things
others have said
can be
misunderstood
watch
blind judgment
in what
you call
my flaws
truth
has a way
of turning around
with the facts
because…
I am not
the woman
you
think I am
from a past
so weak
I now
can take a stand
you truly
know not
my past
or hurts
I have been through
so now
I try to be
the bigger person
and turn
my other
cheek
to you
