I tried to write a new one, Karilea - Honest - My kids momnapped me and took me out for lunch... They did.. They did... The sun shines high: the rain's gone by It's Dandelion Day. From fertile spawn my plush green lawn Is mottled yellow spray. The neighbors' round, all cutting down Their blades and flowers gay ~ Now green they've got, a common lot, While mine's in vast array. Why should I mow these lovelies low, Defying Sunshine's ray? To bring them down the sun might frown, And turn blue sky to gray. I'll let their seeds fallow new weeds And mow another day. Resplay they should, the neighborhood. The Dandelions stay! Waft every crest upon your destined sea |

Ah, a birthday gift from you to me....gotta know I'm sunning all over this one! And your chin always turned yellow when the kidlets put the flowers under, didn't it? Mine did.... |

Nan, I love this!! Know what? in Texas, they don't have danelions like we do!! It is so sad. I wonder how they make the wine, the salad and the lovely chains that every mother has had to wear. Hugs, ME |

Het Nan that's lovely! I'll come and help you make dandelion wine if you wish! Oh, you not keeping them for that reason....aw shucks! Well, what about dandelion greens? They used to be quite the favorite in the early days. Not that either eh? Well I'll just have to come and enjoy the beauty of them just like you. I can't keep'em around here...keep makin wine outa them.....make sure your sittin down when you take a glass or two of that stuff......whew....I loved the poem! |

This was fun. Nice, I think they are very unique and in childhood made dandelion necklaces, of course before going to seed. ~A~ |
