I sit here wondering I sit here lonely by choice and circumstance no longer understanding my own life wondering was there a single moment of determination if so did I not notice, or simply ignore it if so…if I’d known would I have chosen not to love you I sit here wondering You sit there protected by denial and disillusion still a false participant in your own life closing your mind to the moment of reckoning when it comes will you stonewall, or simply surrender when it comes…since you know will you chose not to have loved me I sit here wondering |

love is something powerful that we will never figure out...well written it is better to have loved then to have never loved at all true beauty comes from within not from without |

Was it choice or is it change? Will we ever wonder? Curse or blessing? We write . . . Krawdad |

sometimes, it's better not to wonder. . . great job with the poem. . . a lot of emotions going on here. . . ------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Love the one thing we all crave and the one thing we understand the least about. Eternally we wonder.....This is a wonderful poem with heartfelt emotion in it. Thank you for the read and the thoughts it gave me. {{{BIG HUGS}}}Much love to you from me. Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. |

One of the definitions of poetry is word useage that makes us feel. This poem sang to me. Thank you for enriching my day with your beauty. theLadypoet |

You'll never find out I guess Love is unpredictable, it comes and it goes, but one moment you'll feel it in your bones that "this is it". Unfortunately, sometimes it takes many rehearsels to get a good play. So keep rehearsing. Loved your poem. Titia |

JLR- Great poem with sad ending, probably about a great love with an unfinished ending(also very sad). |

This is fairly matter of fact, which such an edge of melancholy. I like it. I like how you ask questions without the questionmarks - it's a technique I use sometimes...helps to add a touch of finality..and it shifts the tone of the poem too. Do think that maybe these two lines: 'lonely by choice and circumstance no longer understanding my own life' contradict each other a little bit? I'm not sure it matters if they do...I just wonder... Good work, JLR K |

pamela08---So very true...thanks for reading. krawdad---Curse or blessing...I have also wondered. And so, as you said, 'We write...' Thanks for your poetic response. Paula---I knew you'd get it! Thanks. Sven---sometimes, I do think too much. Thank you as always. Watersign6---Glad you enjoyed...thanks for responding. Startime---Love, the eternal wonder...in so many ways. Thanks. Ladypoet---Thanks for your generous words! Titia---I think perhaps this was the 'good play'. So glad you enjoyed. walker---Odd to consider an ending...unfinished. But so true! Thanks. Laura---I will if you will. Ha! Thanks, kiddo. vandana---What a nice thought to wonder...thanks. Severn---Exactly! The puzzlement of a loneliness chosen more from neccesity than reason. Thanks for your thoughtful comments. |

JLR, goodness, I so have been there. Wish I could explain it also but there is no need. You took the words right out of my mouth and said it better than I ever could! Enjoyed! Sauni Sauni :) |
