A Rope of Threads I have woven a rope of thread That floats a halo o’er my head. Of twisted silk and sad sack clothe That sometimes twists a rain of broth. A broth that simmers in my mind That echoes of the bad and kind Then hangs me out upon a lie To face the sun and try to dry When I am dry it’s back again To face again the where and when I’ve used the rope to hold some sail To sail me to the Holy Grail And I have searched in true and vain In places where it might have lain But all I’ve found is mystery The present and its history So now I search the dreamer’s plight Where butterflies begin their flight. |

There is a rondo theme in this that pleases my sense of song.... so of course, it will be a sy-favorite.... |

I especially enjoyed these lines: Then hangs me out upon a lie To face the sun and try to dry A very expressive and creative twist. -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |
