The thoughts of freedom
not precent when ur love is gone
not precent when ur heart is torn
not precent when ur anger is strong
but always there in captive times

continuosly moving forward and open minded
and moving backwards with regrets
not for what I've done folded blinded
but for what I didnt do when I was free

always thinking the lord aint with me
when he's always talking in my sleep
always crying lord come heal me
when im always healing deep
minding on promises I need to keep
and not the ones they need to keep

perhaps it's just the love
that god is given to me
but when would man kind learn?
to mind the words of others
and to love each one of all the mothers

when im captive .......when im free ......
this thoughts of freedom will always be

I don't know about everybody else, but I like this poem, Juan -- it's heartfelt and has a lot of points worth thinking about, like the issues regarding regret and questioning the "bigger picture". Check your spelling on some of your words, but other than that, I enjoyed this a lot.

You have given a lot to ponder within these lines Juan ... I think we all feel that pull for freedom within the walls we build around ourselves.
