I Will Have Hope Until The End

When the sick are making a hasty retreat,
Remain true to your hope,
And perhaps some miracle will be granted,
In the darkest hours of early sadness.
When the sick are making a hasty retreat,
Be hopeful still, for they still breath,
And they may be able to hear you giving up.
When all seems lost and the tears want to begin
Hold them, for there could be another chance.
When you have hope for the hastily retreating,
Don't feel like you are fooling yourself.
That one hope could be the lamp
That others reach for on a darkened path.
When you pray for them
Don't whisper, but shout.
Let those prayers quake even the stillest of boats.
