"I Remember"

The doctor said you were
Getting better
You looked so beatiful
Going out that day on
The water

I didn't say goodbye
And thoughts of that
Make me want to cry

I remember the disbelieve
Of hearing that you died
All I could do is sit,
Stare, and cry

He came in, eyes watery
Sighed, knelt and kissed
My knee and said " I'm sorry
Baby"

I couldn't believe you
Were gone, the shock
Remained a while all
The time we hugged and cried

I looked around at our familar
Things and couldn't believe
That you I'd never again see

I'm sure we all thought it
Couldn't be, but when I saw
You in your casket a wave
Of sadness felt like it
Drowned me

To look at you was all
I could do let alone breathe
You were a wonderful person
And now my Gaurdian angel
I feel you are

I'm still filled with grief and sorrow
and at times feel hollow
You were my heart, my guidance
My light and now your gone
Ripped cruley from my life

I remember the people coming
To say how they were sorry
All I could think of was the
Knife twisting in my heart
Causing me pain

I wish I could have gone
With you to see your loveley
Blue eyes look into mine
To hold your hand one last time
To say I love you and goodbye

All of what I've said is no lie
And I remember your happy smile
When you said "Go back to sleep
Honey everything will be alright"

Dedicated To: My mom who passed away when I was 12.

It's good to be back, anyone miss me? LoL. I will be here more often or atleast try to be, I'm not online much anymore. Take care everyone!   Lisa

Lisa,

My heart goes out to you.  I have lost both my mother and father.  I know that hurt and lonely feeling very well.  You've done a good job here describing it.  Thank you for sharing this.

Lisa,

Hey baby! Good to see you here sweet
sis of mine. Excellent work as always.
I cried when I read this...though you
have shared this one with me before,
it still hits me everytime. Mom would
be so proud of the wonderful and beautiful
young lady that you have turned into!!
Just know that she is with us both
always, and she is smiling down!!

Love you honey!!

Love,
Amy

Sven:

Thanks for reading my poem. I'm sorry about your Dad, you were even younger than me. It's good to know someone thought of me while I was gone. Take care.

Auguste:

I can't imagine what it would feel like to lose both your mom and dad, sorry for your loss! I'm glad you liked how I expressed my feelings. Take care.

Amy:

Thanks for responding to my poem. I'm sure now that your right, mom is looking down on us and would be proud of both of us, or atleast I hope she is. Love ya!
