shaking your

wondering
that I treasure

and falling
in to my
grin

is it enough
for you to share
thoughts
unspoken…

or that a
surprise call
wakes
a deep and
abiding
respect…

or that a poem
is written
and bears
your
name…

don’t you see
but that for
this very
phenomenon,

you are why
I
am
here

side by side

with my
friend

Reminds me of this one I wrote and changed and wrote again…some long time ago in a different lifetime…

Walk with me for a little way,

Our paths have crossed

And we know we are incomplete.

Drawn to each other,

spirits listen intently,

Trying to hear the resonating music

Of someone in harmony.

Come talk with me,

Putting aside fears and pain,

Sharing small truths we have found,

I will listen with my heart,

Not just my ears.

I will accept all I can,

And store the rest away

To examine in quietude

Some other time.

Come walk with me…

For a little while.

Finding in small measure,

Comfort in company shared.
