wonderful write...

while we all seem to want passion in our lives, we often would do much better to have acceptance...

When white hot we burst
Into the expanded state
Of heated desire
We thought little
Of the contraction
That would follow.

No heed paid to
The explosive way
We threw off the layers
Of surrounding protection
Leaving only the core
To cool

And in time send signals
That others read
As a passing
Epitaph for love
Dying

Burn bright
But shed light
For we illuminate
The way for those
Who follow
