The Smiley Face Debate  smilies...you ask.... what makes them so great the subject, i think, could spark quite a debate  they seem rather common not hard to come by but folks think them special that you can't deny...  they come in all sizes their shapes often vary think they all look the same? quite to the contrary    some just grin slightly while others smile big i actually spotted one dancing a jig  some are romantics it's love that they seek i even saw one get a kiss on the cheek    there are red ones and yellow blue, green, even pink there are even a few who have learned how to wink        some are in quite a big hurry i guess but, when they roll by, i must wave...i confess    there are some that i haven't a clue 'bout the why tell me...who would have known that a smiley could cry   and i've seen this one who gets angry at times but i don't think he'd ever commit violent crimes  he just gets hot-headed then quickly cools down and his smile may briefly turn into a frown   but, most seem quite friendly content just to be they really don't have many worries you see  and when they get bored they don't sit down and mope they'll gather some friends hit the park...jump some rope  the best thing about all these smilies, you see is they'll always share smiles with you and with me  so, the next time you know someone who's feeling blue just send them a smiley... they'd do it for you  ~vlraynes "...until you have read the verse on his heart, you have not truely met the poet." -vlraynes [This message has been edited by vlraynes (edited 07-04-2001).] |
