Softly the night wind blew in my face, whispering words for me to chase. Thoughts of you better left undone, memories I hoped would leave with the sun. I thought you finally erased from mind, back in the past and far behind. Slowly the images drifted in, unbidden, unwanted, they started to begin. The tender touches, the close embrace, beguiling looks crossing your face. Silvery tones of words you spoke, they had all faded away like a wisp of smoke. Sunlight finally came my way, thankfully I greeted the brand new day. I looked over my shoulder at the vanishing dark, it seem you waved at your depart. Hopefully the sun would burn you away, but I knew in my heart you were there to stay. |

One word, Logan: GOOSEBUMPS! It's amazing how deep certain roots can plant themselves in our hearts, minds, souls, and lives... You've captured this concept of a haunting past incredibly well. Thank you for the read. -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |
