song of wanderings

How I love the song she sings
made of silence, sweet rememberings,
soft touch in a fevered night,
warm glance of what might be
an angel's sight.

Could I forget what is to me
the kiss of rain on my window,
the heat of the compass needle
in my hand, the fall of sand
through the glass,
I would not go.

This is to my soul
as time is to motion.
as sun is to sky.
Though I am blind
to all that she sees,
yet there is this
that she reveals in me.

And how strange.  I am not inclined
to feel such things, to hear the wind
in summer leaves, to see the sky
blue and light.  Nor would I find
in the night sun, moon, stars
and worlds wandering.

I know her by this, and the sound
of something flying in the light.
Swift as the bird, as the river goes
out to sea, air, and seasons
change green to gold,

So is she.

This is excellent writing....
very cool imagery, and superb use of metaphor and comparisons to express the emotions intend...all wrapped up in a perfect rhyme flow.
very well done...
and you wrote the music too? Im impressed all the way around.
