through jade-hued eyes you saw my heart a heart that knew only one cadence the cadence of rhythmic solitude a 7/4 compound meter that was always one beat behind or one beat ahead of the counterpoint of life and ever dissonant with the harmony of love this was the life that I led the performance that I attended and yet, day after day I would try to write on the staves of my existence the cadenza that would show you the virtuosity of my spirit and the expression of my gift something that I shared with many but something that few understood yet, I continued to experiment, to pursue, to chase the dream the dream that I would one day write the one piece that would transform my audience reaching into their hearts and souls with phrases and notes that they had never heard knowing that I would find one heart out of them that would vibrate to the key of me and there you were sitting in the last row of the hall you had come late, but knew of the performer you heard he touched you with every note and you sat back with rapt attention you longed to speak with him, to tell him just how much he and his music fed your heart and made you believe again so, you did and, in that one moment through jade-hued eyes came the harmony the harmony of love -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Most AWESOME, Sven!! You "struck a chord in my heart" in terms of the musical analogies and the topic of love. An incredibly artistic write with some very brilliant lines! -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |

"...the cadence of rhythmic solitude a 7/4 compound meter that was always one beat behind or one beat ahead of the counterpoint of life..." did you know that Willie Nelson always sings his songs either just ahead, or just behind, the beat...? did you? Aha... thought so... This is, of course, so SVEN....as to take one's words away... |
