While the world is in a frantic
State, confusion everywhere
And we can not believe the antics
In the papers - I don't care.

So my car is in the shop
Again. There's no clean underwear
And my credit rating's dropped
Down to the bottom - I don't care.

You can like me some or hate me;
You can smile at me or glare,
Sing my praises or berate me
If you want to - I don't care.

While everyone is married
And mine ended in divorce
And friends tell me the varied
life is much the better course,

And the women who appraise me
Taunt me with their derrierres
In the hopes that they can raise me
Into action - I don't care.

You think that I'm some kind of puppet?
Some stuffed animal, like a bear?
Then go ahead and kiss a muppet
In my honor - I don't care.

For there is no greater weapon
In existence anywhere
Than to have folks see you steppin'
Out because you just don't care.

Men admire-women want me
For my unpretentious air
Which, of course, flows out quite naturally
From those who just don't care.

Now my life is rather easy
Though my headache's always there
And my stomach's kind of queasy
From the ulcer that I bear.

Yes, I smoke three packs of cigarettes;
I don't eat solid foods
And my mind can go DAYS in between
Suicidal moods.

But you will never find me grievin'
Over some sad love affair.
Just pack my bag and watch me leavin'
Town. It's easy. I don't care.

how do you take your coffee? meetings are every night beginning promptly at 8PM ...but if you come at 7, i'll serve you dinner, too, if you care to have some... and dessert... seeya here!

Yanno, if they are holding assembly for leadership nominations, I wish to vote myself in as President of "I Don't Care", as I am sure I fill all the requirements, and certainly will never dissapoint you as I really Don't Care. This was GRRREAAAT!

well, if you want to know what's for dinner, you have to show up for the meeting ....lol......but if you don't care, you probably won't show up and what the hell am i going to do with all this whipped cream? oh well, i don't care. i'll think of something, i'm sure

Since D's the founder of the club.
So we can use her whipping cream,
To fill those kitties up!

On a more serious note - I agree with Sy - This doesn't sound like the 'Deer we all love. I guess you're stretching your wings a bit - eh? Good writing, as usual though.

hold on here, longjohn!!! i'm not a member of his club, he's a member of MY club!! he wanted to join so bad, he wrote a formal application here! lol

teehee... oh well, who cares? i'm the founder and president, y'know, and so far, i'm really the only member because nobody's cared enough to show up for the meetings! *sigh*

oh, and i better let pandora know about this thread... she might have something to say about your whipped cream idea, that outspoken feline!!!

Doreen - Thanks for the heads up on the club - I fixed the poem. As for your friend Pandora, I dream about her every night - lol. Well, that's almost true. Lorelei keeps me awake most of the time.
