Where I go Down by the river Down by the sea Lies a great big rock And an old, old tree The tree is all covered With gray Spanish moss Hanging in tendrils Like yarn that was tossed The rock is all splintered In a million shards As if it’d been hit By something quite hard And here I sit To dream all day Let the river and sea Wash my cares away Lisa ‘00 |

I like this one. Then again, the riverfront is my favorite place to go around here. It has a soothing quality to me. Nice write! All writing comes |

Sounds intriguing and like a great place to contemplate. We all have our own places like what you describe, I'm sure. Simply put, yet pleasingly visual... thanks for the imagery. -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |

Lisa~ Nice imagery. I gaze out and see the Cypress trees with that lovely moss swaying. It is a lovely sight. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Yes I like the river too. the sound of water is soothing. Glad the imagery was pleasing. Wasn't sure if it was right or not I've never seen it my self, except in movies. Just read about it or listened to others speak of it. |
