As rain is drawn to ocean
and sinners to their knees,
am I with great emotion
o'erwhelmed with Love for thee.

As wind is necessary
to fling the flower seed,
so too must I now carry
the song of my hearts need.

As the swallows of Capistrano
inbreed that place as home,
as sun turns storm to rainbow,
to thee I pen this poem.

As porpoise freely glide the sea
and birds take to the air,
the young in spring define esprit
and generals must dare.

As royalty to family tree,
anonymity legionnaire,
so too must I now cleave to thee
in passion so declare.

In patience I've not known before
I yet will fan the fire,
for you the one that I adore
and to my core desire.

Hope hinges on tomorrow,
as light defines the day,
I'd be wither'd in sorrow
should you throw this Love away.

Know thee most never know the bliss
of the passion I am of,
pray thou the strength not to miss
the promise of this Love.

Richard, I do believe this is the nicest piece of writing I have ever read of yours, this is a keeper for sure (into the poetry festival with this one my friend!) Loved it, loved it!
