Scent With Love ~

~*Marge Tindal*~

Oft' upon a scented sigh ~
~ Your memory seems so near
Fragrance of a time-ago ~
~ A time when you were here

Chiffonier of lace and linen ~
~ Monogrammed embroidery
Rose Water scent still clinging ~
~ Ever so delicately

Inhale I do ~
~ Sweet memories of you
O' Mother of my heart ~
~ It's as though you surely knew
Learning to live without you ~
~ Would be the very hardest thing
I'd ever have to do ~

Marge
I have breathed in the scent when she was near me
You have tugged at my heartstrings
I wish she were here to comfort me
Lots of love went into this piece

Darn it, I had all kinds of comments ready with "smelly" and "stinky" and all that stuff and you turn around and write a heart-touching piece like this...you can't be trusted!!! (except to write beautiful poetry)

You and I have shared enough in memories that you know exactly where in my heart this resides....

[of course I saw the "come-back" at 'Deer first..., so this is, of course...Oh So Much Better!....]

Echo Trillium's comment - treasure them no matter how trite or small, for some of us have none at all (hey, that rhymed...where is Balladeer when I need him?)  This was beautiful Marge, delicate and graceful!

SEA~
Thank you, sweetie.
Just going through some wonderfully scented memories today.

Vicky~
Needed that hug, love.
She is so delicately scented in my memories.

Elizabeth, my friend~
I know just how you feel, honey.
No better comfort than the arms of our mothers.

SoaringEagle~
My sweet ~Warrior~, I hold yours in my heart too, love.
I love you.

Balladeer~
I love catching you in surprise.
Thank you, sweetheart.

Logan~
That is the plain truth, my friend.
No champion larger than a mother's heart.

Karilea~
Yes ... and it pleases me to know we share.

PoetdeVine~
Thanks for thinking so.

BettyLou~
On each sweet scented reminder, I do, my friend.

Mysteria~
You are a sweet friend.
Balladeer - a loveable rascal.
Love you both.

ETHome~
Thank you for enjoying this scent.
I enjoyed the thoughts brought to me on the fragrance of the rose.
