What words could I say
To take you away.

So each night, I set aside time to pray.
God, please touch his heart, some how some way.

Touch his heart so somehow he can feel
Enough to let him know my love was real.

Are there words you could tell him to make him see?
To show him love, to reflect the reality.

So here I am writing humbly before you, pen in hand
Laying everything out, showing you who I am.

If only you knew, how you had captured my senses.
Shades of gray became the time of taking chances.

I've loved every part of you for so long and in all honesty.
I feel I can only be whole even if you loved only a part of me.

So God please take this message to him tonight,
Keep him safe under his guardian angels flight.

Tell him I still love him, for if he can't see.
I'll still feel assured that you will know, as I pray these words before you, humbly.
