a little taste

remember that feeling
when your heart skipped

and the music started?

a taste you had,
a time of new,
a heart so glad,
you never knew.

can't help but smile,
it's madness, surely.

just not the same.

add a flavor
to ancient ideal,
always to savor
the way you feel.

surrender, you won't win,
run and hide, to die inside.

dare to feel, learn what's real.

so alarming,
or disarming,
even charming.
that little taste.

All it takes is a little taste to whet your thirst for more, huh?  I enjoyed this one.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.
