The Screen Porch

If I could open like a book
Would I induce a northern warmth
As when a woman lies in bed
Staring at a winter hearth.

Or would a southern porch instead
Reveal an empty room where page
On page enjoys a breeze,
Myself alone content to please.

where page on pages enjoys a breeze...

I wondered who had moved them when I wasn't looking...

I think you should have a porch completely surrounding your home, as we do here in the south, so you can catch all the breezes.  The better to turn your pages
