‘Southern comfort’ represents much more,
than just a brew...
Those two words hold meaning that you’ll see,
before we’re through...
Speaking for the ladies from the North,
the East, the West...
a Southern man is well-endowed,
in what we call ‘finesse’!

You could search forever,
and forever cyber-roam...
But one sweet day you’ll realize,
the prize awaits down home...
There are no language barriers...
You can afford the flights,
to where he waits with open arms,
to warm your Southern nights...

From Arkansas to Tennessee,
then south to Alabama...
There’s Florida, and Georgia,
not to mention Louisiana...
The treasure lies within the states,
of sultry Southern charms...
It’s there that ‘Southern comfort’,
can be found within his arms...

You Southern men had best beware,
a surge is on the rise...
Of ladies looking for a man,
with passion in his eyes...
And how they need to hear that voice say:
“Come on down, my dear”...
“Just let me hold you close,
and you can get your ‘comfort’ here”...

The more I think about it,
Southern charm is what we need...
A slower pace for longing hearts,
and time, which love can feed...
And though we’ve come so very far,
the treasure’s in the past...
But can be had again,
when Southern comfort’s ours,
at last...

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end...

Hi Sunny,

Being a native of the deep South, I can assure you that Southern charm still exists.  I loved your poem, my friend.  It's good to see you posting again.     (((hugs)))

Ladies, ladies - you must listen!
Don't book those flights quite yet!
I've been trying to convince these men
I'm as good as they will get.
I beg you, don't spoil my chances
Please, please, don't be interfering!!
Give me a chance to find my love -
A loud yeeeee-haaaaaaaaa you'll be hearing!

LOL... Sorry, sunny... couldn't resist!! After all, I've been offering suthern comfort for ages (without success, but that's beside the point)! LOL. This is great!

Sunny

You bet you can stay with me even if I have to pitch a tent in the back yard.  Love it!
