Jessie's Ship Jessie lives in the clouds and she dreams through the days, oh she dreams about a sailor his duty far away. And the days they run long in the cool mountain air and the last words he spoke echo back to her there. Jessie wait for the day I'll be comin back home and your mother's a tailor she can sew you a gown. When that silver ship comes in to the Cluny's bay again there'll be singin on the mountain wedding bells will join us then. There's a picture on the wall of a smilin sailor boy and his smile is a promise of tommorrows lovin joy and her tender arms unfold a flowing gown held dear and she stares down the mountain she's been doin that for years. Jessie wait for the day I'll be comin back home and your mother's a tailor she can sew you a gown. When that silver ship comes in to the Cluny's bay again there'll be singin on the mountain wedding bells will join us then. Well the wars they come ragin to claim a sailor's world with a missing sailor's promise lost in a mountain girl and on a quiet valley evenin when the whisper breezes play you can hear his voice singin off the cliffs of Cluny's bay. Jessie wait for the day I'll be comin back home and your mother's a tailor she can sew you a gown. When that silver ship comes in to the Cluny's bay again there'll be singin on the mountain wedding bells will join us then. copyright June 1994 Celtrue@E3B1G9 |

ETHome~ I knew I'd like it from the title ... I did ... I do ! Singing along with you. I liked this thought ... 'And the days they run long in the cool mountain air' ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Only those dead in heart would not but sing this fair song. Love it. "I am not now that which I have been." |

Serenity the album will come someday and you will be the first to get a copy...Thanks! Thank you JLR for taking the time to read! Logan this is another sad love song as you say but it's always a subject that fills the heart with wistful and melancholy emotions....a part of this imperfect life! Thanks! |

This is a fascinating style... a song... a poem... a flowing write... and you have me singing words of praise to the beauty of your writing skills... regards, my friend, sudhir "I was born intelligent - education ruined me" |

Yanno, ethome... I often compare my singing voice to the delicate sound of cats fighting. *G* But your words are so lyrical I find myself singing... Fortunately, their beauty drowns out the inevitable sour notes. *G* This is lovely! |

I loved it, and sure hope you send it to Garth Brooks, or perhaps this one is better sung by Tim McGraw (yup that is the one who should sing this so we can hear it sung out loud) unless you know how to add voice to this thing, I know someone who could sing it? Beautiful job on this one, it is a best seller ethome. "Lose your temper and you lose a friend; lie and you lose yourself." |
