She's Standing There

Fortunate as I am
to have her as my destiny
She's real and she feels
in every part of me
What more can I hope for
she's an absolute God-send
I pledge and I swear
that this love is her eternity

Moving as I am
I reign and I succeed
Proud as I tower
over mankind's humanity
All else is trivial
only the grip to power matters
I move and I push
but have I not forgotten
that she still stands waiting

Defeated as I am
I've lost and I resent
all that's reaped from me
thru' the burning of fortune's clutch
Weak...angry!
I need no sympathy
yet I wish and I peep
for someone standing somewhere
Was it not my illusion
to see she's really there!

Stubborn as I am
with regained and presumed
wealth and consciousness
God must have realized
He owes me healing and back payment
Merciless as i go, with time and with love
I lift my head sometimes
and wonder if I still
need her standing there?

Awakened as I am
When she vows her forgiveness
for all passion lost and love changes
I know what she meant  
when she confessed her losing sense
of trust, of faith in me
It then dawned upon me
how beautiful she really is
when she promises she will
forever walk with me

I suddenly ask myself
when will I stop hiding
and what do I deserve
to have her always
standing there for me
