As Greenwich mean atomic time bombards my form around the clock
I'm caught up a raging storm and swept along out of control
A particle that drifts and rolls along between life's stumbling blocks
such swift careening seems to mock achievement of a single goal

Accelerating past the place where even simple things make sense
to race off torwards oblivion propelled beyond the speed of thought
No time for flowers to be smelled this life has now become pretense
pell- mell are scattered seeds whose blooms are instantly no longer sought

Phase shifting through the cyclic days to leave a vapor trail of verse
that dissipates as soon is formed a half life derived from this pace
Can this my one salvation found arrest the passing moments curse
if that which can't be slowed at all still let's these words free fall in place ?

Approaching fast a future past if nothing else I've done should last
for payment of what took from me , let this then be my legacy
