With opaline fire On the edge of Turquoise bowl Day begins again. Photographed in My mind are a Thousand such Passings… Like an album Of family portraits With people looking Similar but different Each beginning And ending of time Measured by events In my life That will fade from Existence with me. Our importance Transient as the Light that changes With passing cloud Measured in memory Of those who care… Those precious few Souls we embrace How can we be Foolish enough to Think ourselves More than we are? Opaline fire on The edge of a turquoise Bowl… waxing… Waning … gone Transient as the Changing light… |

I dated a gal called Opaline once, or do I disremember? What clearly defined images you provide with you pallette of words. Some folks take themselves too seriously and believe themselves more important than they are. The true measure of wealth and importance is measured by the friends you make along the way and how important you are to them. Got wordified again, huh? |
