Shadow Dancing shadow boxing tap dancing shadow dancing slow romancing in the mind can only be done if you're kind kind of mind one of a kind kind of shadow dancing mind the kind of shadow dancing done step step to step step fro step side side step one of a kind if you've the mind in my mind I find you kind to shadow dance with me making a we of us you're not here step step forth step step back just a shadow a body you lack the music plays slow and low you're sleeping overhead you've never understood the dread I have in losing the dance slow romance slowed by chance? circumstance? happenstance? just knowing that it did lifts the lid on questions asked but thoughts are masked taken to task can't relax shadow dancing kind in mind moving slow turn and twirl thoughts to swirl dip and curl and bend and wend away my thoughts chance was bought with life of line thought of mind mind in kind once ten cents a dance slow romance sixty years ago taking it slow now shadow dancing is the way to go slow romance take a chance God if I could go back to ten cents a dance real romance my kind of mind shadow dancing one more time |

I don't know how I missed this the first time around. Shame on me! 10 cents a (taxi) dance at the Roseland Ballroom in the 30's and 40's ... A great place to dance in the 50's and 60's ... now only a memory sparked by your verse ... and the History Channel  |
