just once again... dizzy dancing lover's spin icy fog beneath our feet and mask on face with false lips meet. in conjured bliss take my hand take all you've missed the night is yours-- this is our tryst take tonight and raise a fist. that could have been be damned the schemes that cried, "just friends" I want to kick my shoes away and dance with you anew each day. waltz with me, just dance real slow a velvet glove to velvet lips fingered touch on satin hip... waltz with me, I hunger--moan. I nibble silence of alone. in shadows of my memories kept. ballerina in a box.. the music chimes in spite of locks. take my hand and set me free, from this mirror mocking me-- Oh waltz with me. Just waltz with me. [This message has been edited by serenity (edited 06-19-2001).] |

This waltz contains no shmaltz. Here's to two hips thrashing in dim light as two ships passing in the night. "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve" |

Oh take my hand, I curtsey low... waltz with me, just dance real slow a velvet glove to velvet lips fingered touch on satin hip... waltz with me, I hunger--moan. I nibble silence of alone. Even now, I quarter-step in shadows of my memories kept. ballerina in a box.. the music chimes in spite of locks. A velvet prison trapping me, take my hand and set me free, from this mirror mocking me-- Oh waltz with me. Just waltz with me. =========================== you always were at your best when your dancing... be it in rhyme or quarter time. she said I dont know why you ever would lie to me |

This is a wonderful read! Brings to mind memories of a masquerade ball from long ago. I loved the rhyme scheme; it helped the flow of your words. The wistful longing came through loud and clear. Take me as I am or watch me as I go |

Superb, you have done something beautiful once again. You know, I once had a man who could waltz like a dream, of course he was not any good, otherwise, broke my heart, he did. But I still think of those wonderful dances. Nothing like a man who can dance well. I know this was not about the dance per se, but it just made me think like that. I love reading your poems.
