A Day Lost in Tomorrow I have no voice, words have been stolen, stored within a feverish mind. Aching, wishing to forego weakness for strength of conviction, head forward resting in hands, holding pain. Constricting thoughts, hardly swallowed, as coolness drips slowly down the passageway, trying to soothe. Gravity pulling shoulders, inward, tensing, muscles not wishing to obey. A day lost in tomorrow. Ears ringing impatience, a day or few away from Summer, yet the Wynter has been fueled by the heat of tightness, from the virus that burns her outer layer. Wanting relief, to find in today, a way to be able to still, the silence of her life. "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

This is a powerful piece, I hope you're feeling better very soon. Your title has my head going off in a somewhat different direction and if I catch up to it, I may write a poem on the vein in which it seems to be taking. |

Wow...this is by far one of the most intimate things I've read from you! Excellent portrayal of one tortured by their own thoughts---very impressed with this piece! |

Thank you friends, yesterday I woke with the flu, sore throat, no voice (oh my! that's as bad as having the aching fingers that wouldn't allow me to type), and the rest of me in feverish pain. This evening I am able to thank you for responding, the aching body is calming down allowing me to type and think, but I still have no voice *s...be glad these aren't audios..*s oh and for those who read other things into this..my secret..yes, I have days lost in my thoughts of tomorrow by not being able to accomplish some things I needed to do...oh well..I always enjoy when you find something more meaningful in my words ~smiles Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 06-19-2001).] |
