More food that I can ever eat
More debt any man can pay
Lottery win, dream come true?
that would make my day

Smelly river, heavy metal fish,
no fenders on the bank, not god,
not miracles or evolution its
Mr. Chemical Industry
we have to thank

Fallen angels in the trashcan,
The homeless in the street
no shoes, no hope, no love
dancing to the same old beat.
If there is a heaven, then why
do they live in hell, why oh why
my lord these folks just cannot tell.

Yeah I know what you mean.....In our present state of imperfection we seem to be victims of  greed and power that creates these very things that violate our very consciousness!
Nice message!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

I agree with Lady In White. The last line just said it all...and then some. Excellent poem.

"...if you want love you must be love.."
Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins

Freedom comes when you learn to live unafraid.
