You gave me the inspiration to start to write again;
heaven knows paper and pen at times
have been my best friend.
Sometimes the thoughts are muddy
and come a little slow;
other times the pen freely flows
writing faster and faster
as the words come tumbling out...
at times it is like a water spout.

No talent I have as far as I can see
but you'd think I was a writer
the way you compliment me.
You say my wording is awesome
and put together so neat;
little do you know
they just come tumbling out
falling at my feet.

I'm stuck in a rhythmn
and a prose, I'm afraid,
that I'll never ever
be able to shake.
