One night years ago I looked into your eyes As you admired me I felt your passion rise I fell under that spell Willingly I confess Just took that one look And the feel of your caress I had never known such love As we created that night Together in the darkness We shared in carnal delight These memories I have Of making love to you Are all that are left Of the man I once knew I look back sometimes Even though it still stings To the times that were When life was a simple thing Something changed between us Along our merry way Robbing us of the feelings We shared that special day We can never go back As I have often been told By those who have been there Be they young or old I know this is the truth For I live it in my heart Yet the memories live on Even though we are apart Picture: Paris Girl by Kim Anderson All writing comes by the grace of God. -Ralph Waldo Emerson [This message has been edited by Lone Wolf (edited 06-16-2001).] |

Ahhh,, sigh, maybe not back to that magic moment, but there can be other moments when magic weaves it spell, and another wonderful bliss takes over again..I hope it will be there for you...gentle smile |

I agree with all responses, but especially would want to capture what Poeminister says. |

Sad that loved faded. I know you shall create beauty through love once again. Be at peace. "I am not now that which I have been." |

...the Kim Anderson print perfectly sets the mood for this writing...memories, how bittersweet...yet, they somehow tie our experiences of yesterday with our dreams of tomorrow...yes, all tied up with heartstrings... |

There is more depth to the heart than the human mind can comprehend and it only has boundaries when we choose to fence it in. As Tennyson said, "tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all." Though sometimes hard to understand, we do learn from what we've lost and still cherish the good times. I wish you well. Michael Proust- |

What a painful, bittersweet memory, indeed, but, you express it so beautifully. I relate to your words, more than you could ever know~ Take care, Melissa~ |

Logan: The memories will suffice for now. one day, there will be new ones. I just know it. Thank you much. Poeminister: There was much to learn and I have come to know the lessons well. Time to move ahead. Eye: I refuse to trade my tomorrows for one day of bliss. It shall return in due time, I feel it in my heart. Thank you for the hope, it's very sweet. VAS: Thank you, he is wise indeed. Julian: I know I will too. Marge: Thank you, I see no need for bitterness anymore. It will consume you if you allow it to. I choose to look ahead. Tomorrow holds many promises. Fancy: I thought the print fit well too. Thank you! They are all connected in the cosmos as one. You are so right. Michael: I regret no choices I made, my friend. I take the experience and try my best to apply the lessons to tomorrow. Yes, there are many memories to be cherished. Zinsser: I believe you have to look back every now and then to move on and stay focused, but not too often. I see a bright future looming on the horizon. Thank you! Melissa: Always bittersweet in the recollections, I'm afraid. Sorry you can relate, it's not an easy thing to go through. Best wishes on your journey. All writing comes |
