Women are pumping iron, instead of singing. They gather to watch the Superbowl, drinking beer and burping. They’re swinging baseball bats, they’re boxing and even joining armies. Through such tribulations, broken-hearted, the men are becoming impatient. In need of passion, they find masturbation more pleasing than that which became of women. Children are conceived with apparitions, with holy ghosts and other visions and men, holding onto their televisions, are simply afraid of going to bed. Women no longer believe in shaving. Dresses are out of style. Bathing, makes them feel dirty. Submitting to cravings, they put on extra pounds without regret. The shortage of passion quickly increases. Unable to come up with new caprices, they have come up with a whole new thesis; destroying everything that men have cherished, pop-feminism has spread like a deadly virus. Observing the present, a question arises: “Is the future headed for an certain crisis, Will romantic ideals forever perish?” |

I could find much to argue with here--but will simply suggest that this would make an interesting topic in discussion forums. But you are always an interesting read, Master. (and I'm smiling at calling you "Master" considering your topic... --glad to see you post in Open Forum again!!!! |

When I think pop-feminism I think to Andy Warhol doing prints of Marilyn Monroe, and Valerie Salonas planning her revolution against men. I don't think Feminity is dead by any means. Still quite an interesting spin on things, It would be interesting to know the level of sarcasm in piece if any. THanks for sharing and provoking my grey matter. Children are conceived with apparitions, with holy ghosts and other visions and men, holding onto their televisions, are simply afraid of going to bed. "Build a man a fire, he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life". Terry Pratchett |
