To Ride The Pain

in the midst of
lesser things
dreams and beauty
springs
hope is not lost
in tears of cry
it is where we get
a new supply
I shall neither give up
nor give in
and in no darkness
shall I reach suspend
things happen
we have no control
one day you’re standing up
next scrape heart and soul
you just
have to ride the pain
if we are
to ever gain
for dreams reach beyond
this feeling
pain with hope
starts the healing

"...the rest is silence" (Hamlet)       Shakespeare

Your spirit
so apparent
in the midst of lesser things
gives me pause
gives me peace
a strength upon to lean
though only for a moment
never wistful for too long
I soon find myself dancing
in the shadow of your song

What could I say any more sincerely...than thank you, my friend.
