ages ago,
when the day started
with the break of dawn
and chirping of birds,
when sundown was
the time to prepare
for the period of rest
as if to calm unrest,
and like the birds,
we flew back
to our nests
to find a pillow
to lay our heads
in a place we called home,
was it too simple?

as for the now,
the today emerges
as a stranger
and we are disguised
by our own makings,
hiding guilt behind
make-believe
stain-free masks,
and yet we fight
to find the calming breeze
each of our passing days

we seem to await
the special moment
of lucidity in silence
that fractures
our forced social sense
and disrobes
layers of pretense

did we have to make this so difficult?

how do we try to
build a structural box
with four walls and a roof
and yet expect to call it home?

where is homeliness gone?

questions without answers
in the absense of clarity
and that's when
the irony dawns
that we are all caught,
trapped in a web!

it seems to be time to wake up

arise!

(°!°)

Home is what we make it...a haven from the world at large...or a switching station where you are just passing trains rushing off to who knows where...my home is a haven for my boys and I...and every other kid in the neighborhood....they know they are safe and welcome here...

home is where the heart is, I guess.

some beautifully crafted images here. Well observed my friend.
