Rose Of Sorrow They call her Rose, spellbounding, so fair Lolita of desire, Venus so rare with sensual skin of ivory cream a goddess of fantasy, sent from a dream adorned with flowing locks of raven hair and bewitching eyes of sapphire stare at dawn of light, lashes curl to the sky yet, at night's dance, her reflection does cry, men wish to taste her, damsels long to steal such beauty blind admiration...they know not of her insanity, in this game of worth, she plays the pawn an enchanting duckling, void of inner swan, her skin of remembrance bears the stain of the cry in sorrow, blooming in shame imprisoned by walls of superficial misery scorned by afflictions of stale drudgery, her mask shows the smile...conceals the woe at the sting of her kiss, love refuses to grow her heart is cold below her chest... no milk of life within her breast, a mirror of sores, infected by years drowning in the howl of infested tears, poisoned by the pain of unending regret aspirations annulled...suffocation of repent, yesterday is gone, as is tomorrow today is empty, twisted and hollow, 'neath exotic illusion, her face is scarred - an ugly spirit, molested and marred, men wish to taste her, damsels long to steal such beauty blind admiration...they know not of her insanity - this temptress of lust, Aphrodite so rare lost in the haze of bitter, blank stare, below the grace of painted face, lies thorns of a crone sometimes a rose is just another weed...wilting, alone with purity of soul, long ago deceased at masquerade of night, she sees only the beast ~By Melissa Honeybee~ |

now, this is powerful writing Melissa, it just grabs the reader from beginning to end, the story that it tells is excellent, and your choice of word and metaphor is superb. . . it's one of the best things that you've written. . . superb my friend. . . ------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Melissa, this is so very sad, sweet friend, my heart goes out to all those who feel this pain deep inside that others fail to see and I pray they can all openly express themselves and understand that they are not beasts but true beauties of great worth and love! (kiss on cheek) This is sensitive and beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautfiul heart, sweet Melissa, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
