Legend Of Blue Quartz It was, When things were young Much different than The circle of today. Then, All Spirits and Man Understood each other In this time There was a Woman Who envied the blue Of Sky’s world, And was lover to Water. One day, She spoke to Water After they had lain together And asked him to capture The Blue from Sky So that she might possess it Water was smitten With the softness of this Woman And so began to enlist Night In a plan to capture Sky’s Blue. Early next morning When Night Usually gives way To Day and lets Sky show blue Water was at the edge of the world Waiting in ambush. As Day, began his journey And just as Sky was beginning To show proudly his Blue Water Grabbed Blue and Took it deep within His land. Sky turned grey And began to threaten, But water lay still and deep. Sun, seeing what had happened Joined Sky and put forth a great Light On Water In the Depths of Water One could see the Blue he had Stolen And The Green of envy that his Woman Had tainted him with. Sun and Sky whispered Then both retreated to the far North And Water became colder And colder Until He was frozen Sky then sent a lightening being To strike Water, who groaned and Through bits of Frozen Blue Onto Land as Sun reached down And Grabbed as Much Blue As he could from Water And handed back to Sky. Those frozen bits of Blue Today are called Blue Quartz And are honored for holding The Powers of both Sky and Water. |

These are simply amazing, and one day, all of the legends of your pen should hold court between leather, so that they may be carried from generation to generation! |

Leather... now that is another tale in itself... Once, long ago when Man had stepped out of the Circle he began to grow hungry and cold In his blindness, (for everyone knows there is no light outside the Circle) He began to Kill This pleased Destruction and he taught Man how to make things from what he could not eat of his kills. Needing Clothes he asked Destruction to teach him how to cover himself Destruction began by taking the Skin and scraping all that could be eaten off of it, then cracked the skull and rubbed it with Brain After some time, this cured and the results were Leather Man has since tried to step back into the Circle but the other Spirits now afraid of Him will not speak directly And Man... still sides with Destruction |

Now I am very sorry I asked, for I did not know that necessity was part and parcel of destruction.... so I shall just hold your legends in my hands for as long as I may.... |

(chuckling) As with all legends... they should be taken with a grain of salt..and the mind of the story teller always questioned... As for Neccessity... That is another tale in and of itself... Once long ago Before Hunger and Before Man left the Circle, A Chief began to envy the Many colors the other Spirits had He Called a council and began to plead with all the Spirits to share the Colors The Spirits listened and then Spoke in One Voice Man may wed one of our Daughters and His Children will then possess some Colors. The Chief Listened, agreed and then began to look at the Spirits Daughters Sky's Daughters Clouds Were very beautiful and the Chief chose to marry one of them. This union in time produced children who also possessed Color and the Chief was Satisfied. The children, however, grew restless as time went on and felt neither a part of the Spirit World or Man Feeling the need to belong, They taught other Men how to Paint themselves and to steal colors from the Spirits Colors are rich things and addictive to all but true Spirits This addiction became neccessity and still today you can see the clouds in some people's eyes |

Epic poems, I stand in awe, read in isolation they are wonderful but together they have almost biblical qualities. I enjoyed very much. Thank you. Regards, Olias. |
