Words in banter batter down, I’ve listened the sun around, From darkness falling from light Till the day returning bright. A nightmare briefly delayed. Silence has it’s stoic play, Awake daybreak makes display, Ending all conversation, Moving a new direction. A nightmare briefly delayed. Now the daylight is all set, Moments doing won’t forget, That nightmare plays tomorrow, Night of departed sorrow. Gloom |

I really like the meaning of this verse..... "Silence has it’s stoic play, Awake daybreak makes display, Ending all conversation, Moving a new direction." The rest is very good also....good poem! The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up |

I do find that sleep is generally an over rated condition. And to paraphrase- no sleep no nightmares. |
