I stood before a Judge today Your Honor I was charged unjustly He ask me what I had to say Let me explain and then you will see Yes, I admit to killing the bird But I really had no choice I was faced with dying of hunger God blessed me with this source I was hunting on that mountainside And fell into the Condors nest Without food for three days Yes, the bird, I did dress The judge looked at my innocent face And said, “Survival is what it was about” So I was pleased when he decided To set me free and throw the case out Then, the judge stopped me while I was leaving which made me nervous, queasy, and sickened “Please tell me what Condor taste like I’m curious, does it taste like chicken” I answered him much too quickly And again my life went a fowl My experienced taste buds tell me It’s a cross between Whopping Crane and Spotted Owl |
