I fell out of a window,
...forty stories high,
At each window said hello,
...no time to say goodbye,
I yelled out, as past I fell,
...floors thirty, twenty-nine,
If anyone is wondering,
...so far, I'm doing fine.
When I fell past, floor twenty-one,
...I passed a pigeon by,
On stone ledge, the pigeon sat,
...and watched a human fly,
Fifteen, fourteen, there goes twelve,
...with ledges in between,
Eleven, ten, and whooosh, goes nine,
...I guess I missed thirteen,
I wish I had a parachute,
...five, four, three, two, one,
I Shirley hope, that I wake up,
...before this poem's done.
