You’ve Arrived When you can look back down the paths of life- And crack a wistful smile... And shrug aside the pain and tears- That came with every mile... When you enjoy simple pleasures, Live each moment for itself. Each accomplishment a treasure, Like a trophy on a shelf... When you’re content, friend, with your wages, And the fact that you’ve survived- I guess, in some small measure... One could say that you’ve arrived! |

I guess I'm still walking that path For the amount my paycheck hath Is barely enough to survive - I might exist, but I don't thrive! LOL... Sorry, GS... my mind is wandering on a journey all its own. *S* Great poem... I enjoyed it much! |
