Be Wary
Virginia Salter

he was lying in a heap
in a corner of an alley
brown ooze dripping from his veins
o.d.’d on chocolate with twinkies for his brains

visions of sugar plums
had danced within his head
minutes and hours
before he ended dead

so should you wish for sweet and light
for sugars and caffeine
be wary of this embiber’s plight
and his final, gripping scene

LOL! But Virginia, I do love chocolate and I HAVE to have my morning coffee!  I'm helpless!
