Live in the Moment I watched as a sparrow flew gracefully down, To drink and to bathe in the water he'd found, A quiet oasis, 'twas just he and I, He chirped and cavorted … I sat idly by. I pondered his fortune, the joy in his find, A puddle no larger than ten inch by nine, He playfully dipped in the water with glee, A sight to behold, such a feeling, so free. No burdensome qualms, not a fear nor a doubt, He lived in the moment, and frolicked about, He seemed not to worry, he seemed not to care, Just focused on playing, all else unaware. I watched and I wondered at all that I saw, Simplistic in beauty and yet, 'twas in awe, This small act of nature will serve to remind, We too can enjoy life, if "we" take the time. /Kit McCallum . You, my dear, are never idle...perhaps your hands were quiet for a brief moment, but your mind scurried together these wonderful lines to gift to us.... |

indeed. . . moments don't last forever. . . so, it's good to enjoy them when they do come. . . Love this one Kit. . . --------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

would I but ask of you, that you would ask as a bird in flew come to seek the grace of you? would I then but ask of that? |

This, Kit, is so true and so well written. And, Balladeer, maybe you can frolic in a bedpan bath? Gotta take the moments of joy that you can get, you know. Let's all just have a day of frolic and see what happens? A |
