Two-Timing Tunes It seems that all they play these days, Are those two-timing tunes. I’m getting tired of hearing- About who is cheating whom- What happened to “till death do part”? And vows of faithfulness- I halfway blame the music scene- For our domestic mess. What happened to those old desires- Of couples growing old? Their love just growing stronger- As gray hair replaced the gold? And working out the problems- Not running from the gloom... I’m really tired of hearing, All of those two-timing tunes. What about those precious memories That boys retain of Dad? Of working right beside him, In the good times, and the bad? Of Mama in the kitchen- Her embrace, and binding wounds- I fear they’ve fallen victim- To those two-timing tunes. |

Oh, I do know what you are saying. Ummm, I am caught up in the "now" however, I only know stories of then by hearing them. It would be truly nice to have the world work as it should. My father used to say the same things you are saying now. I totally agree where you are coming from. This is an awesome write. Sorry I rambled. Sauni Sauni :) |

there's just too much here for me to say. . . but, you've done well with this one. . . it says a lot. . . a lot. . . well done. . . ----------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
