Dream On Dream on, young one, the day is new The earth of May is sweet with dew Fresh scent of early breezes creep Through morning’s window as you sleep The dawn is peeking through the mist Soon sun will find a cheek to kiss And wake your lovely slumbering eyes To bright of day and blue of skies But now in shades of purple hue Let shadows wrap and comfort you In secret dreams of fantasy Of one whose love you’ve yet to see Just one more moment filled with bliss With eyelids closed to early mist Sweet dreams behind the sleeping eyes Will soon be gone with sunny skies The dreams beneath a midnight moon Are meant to be forgotten soon The dreams you dream with open eye Will last until the day you die Elizabeth Santos |

"Dream on, young one, the day is new The earth of May is sweet with dew Fresh scent of early breezes creep Through morning’s window as you sleep" I love this. Your poem is so clear and easy to visualize the concepts it contains. Until you are are near it, you will never see it, until you live it you will never know it...this is why we must not judge it. |

You got me with this one...I can't sing or I would sing it to my Granddaughter, and I hope it gets to be a lullabye that is sung by many as it is too nice not to be shared in a "big way"! Beautiful work as usual. ~*~ I write ~ Therefore I am ~*~ |
