Old Sol and River Virginia Salter Old Sol burns a hole into the water stretches across grasses tickles trees with summer warmth on their west as evening approaches bringing a cooling to their east weeping birch lengthens its arms caresses ground and passers by sitting here in God’s world heartbeat of river’s flow ripples amber and rose as sun’s glow lows dips behind trees and hills, a refreshing cool kisses the back of my neck wraps its arms around my shoulders tenderly serenading me in serenity. © July 25, 2000 |

Virginia....Can't believe I missed this one. I love the sounds in this....as quiet as the river. Super! Bob |

Thanks, doubly, Bob! Today and tomorrow I'm subbing in a room with a student teacher so I'll mostly be observing and assisting if she should request it. Just making things legal, certified person present. I said certified not certifiable, mind you. Anyway, I'm expecting to have some time at the computer because of the nature of this job. |
