Under a blanket of stars
I feel you.
You come to me, soft and serene
Comforting, loving.
I imagine you with me
Imagining with me, laughing with me.
As a star falls
The imagining ceases.
Reality is you have gone.
You are the stars that fill my sky,
The breeze that kisses my cheek
You are with me always.
So I look to the stars
On clear nights
Hoping to catch glipmse of you
And I do.
You are so beautiful
And always near.

Mariee, I couldn't let this lovely poem drop into the depths without a comment. Sad and sweet, beautifully done.

Thanks for all the kind comments. It's been a while since I've written anything...my muse was on hiatus! This one is special--it holds a lot of meaning for me.

That's the best poetry to write, Mariee, when they mean something to you....

"Hoping to catch glipmse of you
And I do."

I think this is the best part of this write.  Wanting, Wishing and recieving even if only while looking up. I feel the absense.
Beautiful write Mariee,
