I saw her for the first on new hallows eve when the ghosts walked and demons on souls did feed Yet her alone my eyes did see In the moonlight; In my dreamworld; On new hallows eve I saw her again when the snows came and the year was old and feigned as if my eyes in darkness beheld a single flame Her eyes sought me In the pale night In the snow drops On the morn of new years eve We loved for a single evening But when morning came like a phantom in visions she dissolved into the rain As the planets turned My hair burnished silver My love did not dwindle In the autumn of my days I saw her again as the past turned to dust in my mind and the black Filled my world I saw her still As she was As she has always And will always be A winter, a Summer A winter, a Spring I searched for those eyes but i did ner behold them again On the night of the 6th The winds did blow And her eyes still held me true As winds words of her flew. On my final day The four winds brought her to my door Appearing as if she'd never gone. A love long cold i would feel forever more We sat and looked at old times those that have long gone by at the past still vivid in the love, in the light, In my eyes. Yet In the morning my angel had returned to the sky where she shone more beautiful than a thousand fireflies. PART II In the beauty eternity does stretch She holds my hand; as we cross the land' over the Threshold of life and death For a man that strove Never finding Now alone forever with his own one true love As I walked In the Twilight Of this lifetime Where no one can see And my beauty long sought is here sitting with me In this dream world As this heart felt splashs down into the sea And my loves eyes Find my lies buried down deep inside of me And her smile melts The fears felt In the life far away From me The very deep did rot: O Christ! |

(sigh) So soft and romantic! I love to read such lovely poems so very much! (sigh) This one made me cry as I read it of the such beauty and romance and faithfulness you have to your dream love. (sigh) She is a very lucky woman indeed! You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

I've been wondering where you were! This is simply gorgeously dark and sensuous--how I have missed your work! Fabulous writing Walter! |

WalterPoe~ This is a truly delicately woven piece~ Very moving ... 'I saw her again when the snows came and the year was old and feigned as if my eyes in darkness beheld a single flame' So gently told .... ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
