Once upon a moon filled night An angel harmonized before my sight She sang of trouble and of pain I could see her tears left a stain Upon her purified innocent heart She captivated me from the start I watched her in awe and wonder Standing there listening to the thunder I lost myself in song so sweet Taken away by her heavenly beat Notes cascaded from the clouds Wrapping around me like a shroud The melody flowed like honey In its wake the mood was sunny Chords progressed through the air Dulcet tones sounding so fair They built to an exploding crescendo You won’t find any hidden innuendo Just the music behind the song Sang for the one for which she longs She hopes he hears her symphony Her words harbor no irony Meant for only one alone To him she must try to atone So on she plays through the dark To the journey she shall embark Hoping he’ll follow along behind The man that haunts her in her mind He who can make dreams come true And leaves her heart feeling new Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats [This message has been edited by Lone Wolf (edited 03-30-2001).] |

Alwye - Thank you, I thought the picture made the poem. You are welcome!! RMW - The best should always be last, that's the part most remember! Kathleen - Thank you very much, sweetheart. Temptress - Sometimes beauty makes us cry. no one understands it, just have to go with it. Thank you. Marge - Thank you! I was lucky to find just the right graphic to enhance the words so well. They seem to fit well together. *Bowing* Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Lone Wolf, this is a lovely poem, and your choice of image is one of my favorite Grimshaw paintings. Are you familiar with his work? This is so pretty, thanks. Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Sven - Thank you, they seem to work well together. Kethry - I'm collecting jewels!! LOL. Thanks! Melissa - No matter what, there is always hope. Claire - Not very familiar with Grimshaw's work. Stumbled on this and fell in love with it. I thought it was perfect for the poem. I'd love to know more about Grimshaw though! You are welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. All writing comes |

I like the sad, fairytale quality of this. And you're right...the pic fits it perfectly. |
